Back from Hiatus

I have not blogged since August of 2006, that was well over a year ago and up until today my website had been quite deserted. That last post was made shortly after Sara and I moved to Pennsylvania, just North of Pittsburgh in a little town called Cabot. Since then I have been busily working to make a living. My disappearance from the blog scene had several reasons, of which I will not bore you by exploring. With needing to move to a new web host I decided it was perhaps time to resurrect my blog from the depths of browser-cache. Nothing snazzy or exciting, just some thoughts from time to time about life, programming and perhaps even a drop of theology here and there.

Stan, brother! It's good to see your site again (although, admittedly, I was checking to see if sanctus.org had come back yet). It looks good too. Our best to you Sara!

So it's sad that I didn't notice until a week or two ago that you had updated your site. Shows how in touch with reality I am these days!

I take it you're using BlogSCL3 on here? I still need to convert my blog over to that ... I've been wanting to ever since we messed around with it over Thanksgiving, was it? Again, sad. I have no life. Maybe I'll get to that soon. I'm just always afraid at how much work will be involved in getting the newest code, upgrading, etc.

What are you doing for the 4th of July? I have a little bit of a dilemma ... not sure if you noticed on Facebook, but I somehow got a girlfriend. She's going to be in Houston for the summer, so I was considering visiting her for the fourth but I haven't seen you and Sara in forever, and I can get to Pittsburgh for about half as much as Houston. So, I'm tossing different ideas around in my head ... let me know what you, Sara and Ivan are up to then; maybe we can work something out.
